VERDICT ALERT: Councill, Gunnemann & Chally Secures $12 Million Jury Verdict on Fiduciary Duty and Conspiracy Claims.
A Councill, Gunnemann & Chally team secured a jury verdict for $12 million, before apportionment and setoff associated with certain counterclaims, on the client’s breach of fiduciary duty claim in a lawsuit in Georgia’s Statewide Business Court.
“After five years of litigation, our client was finally vindicated as to the activity that led to this business divorce,” noted Councill, Gunnemann, & Chally partner, Jon Chally, who, together with Josh Gunnemann, represented the Plaintiff, Dr. Max Steuer, at trial. “The Defendants tried to argue that our client’s concerns about their behavior were only unfounded paranoia. The jury felt otherwise.”
Joining Jon Chally and Josh Gunnemann on the Plaintiff’s trial team were Kadie D’Ambrosio, Ben Watson, and Brian Devine.
